Training

The Street Sub Aqua Club is registered with the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) and therefore ensures that all training is delivered in accordance with the BSAC rules.
The BSAC diver trainee program is aimed for absolute beginners and progresses you onto an Ocean Diver.

The club training officer appoints two training instructors for each trainee. The training officer also overseas all training to ensure its to the highest standard that BSAC has specified. The club also supplies all equipment needed for training free of charge.

In accordance with BSAC the dive club also offers further skill development courses at a minimum cost:

  • Oxygen Administration
  • Nitrox Diver
  • Marine Life ID
  • Marine Biology
  • Lifesaver Award
  • First Aid
  • Equipment Care
  • Engine and Boat Maintenance
  • Drysuit Training
  • Chartwork and Position Fixing
  • Boat Handling
As a sports diver your entitled to further these skill developments for the following subjects:
  • Gas Blending
  • Closed Circuit Rebreather
  • Semi-Closed Rebreather
  • Underwater Photography
  • Search and Recovery
  • Practical Rescue Management
  • Full Face Mask,
  • Extended Range Diver
  • Disability Awareness
  • Compressor Operation
  • Advance Nitrox Diver
  • Advanced Lifesaver
