We had a great turnout at the pool last night, with a mix of new faces and familiar ones making the most of the water time.
Two prospective members joined us for try-dives, getting their first taste of scuba in a relaxed and supportive environment. A big thank you to Ian and Ron for looking after them and making sure they both had a safe and enjoyable introduction to diving. It is always good to see new people taking their first breaths underwater and leaving the pool with big smiles.
Alongside the try-dives, Richard and Steven were busy running equipment check-out dives. These sessions are an important part of our training programme, giving members the chance to get comfortable with different kit, practise buoyancy and run through basic drills in a controlled setting before heading into open water.
We also had a fun dive running at the same time, with Leo enjoying some underwater play and general skill practice. Pool nights like this are a great opportunity to build confidence, try new things and just enjoy being underwater, whatever stage you are at in your diving.
Thanks to everyone who helped out and took part. It was a lively evening in the pool and a good example of what our weekly sessions are all about.
