Friday night dive on the Baggy (Bagytano)
Three club members and a guest headed out from West Bay on Friday evening for a dive on the Baggy, also known as the Bagytano 3, with Toddy coxing the boat.
Unfortunately, one diver had kit issues and had to sit the dive out, but Mick, Rob and our guest were still able to enjoy a cracking dive on the wreck. Conditions were very decent, with visibility around 5 to 6 metres and a water temperature of 12 degrees. The dive lasted 63 minutes, reaching a maximum depth of 22 metres and an average depth of 19.9 metres.
The wreck was full of life, with plenty to see. Highlights included lots of fish, several eels, and both crabs and lobsters tucked away in the structure. It was a really enjoyable dive with plenty of time to explore and take in the scenery.
All in all, it was a lovely way to spend a Friday night and a great way to finish off the week. Thanks to Toddy for coxing and to everyone who took part.
