Street Divers at Glastonbury Festival 2025

Waves Shape

Another Glastonbury Festival week has come and gone, and once again the Street Divers food stand proved what can be achieved with a lot of teamwork, good humour and a willingness to muck in.

Set up in a field somewhere in Somerset, our crew transformed what is essentially a container load of kit into a fully functioning food stand in the middle of one of the world’s biggest festivals. From marquee building and scaffolding to electrics, gas, plumbing and catering, everyone played their part. It is always impressive to see how a group of volunteers can pull together such a complex operation and make it work smoothly under pressure.

The week was hot, busy and at times exhausting, but spirits stayed high throughout. New and returning helpers quickly gelled into a strong team and tackled every challenge thrown at them with the same professionalism and good humour that has become a hallmark of our Glastonbury operation. Despite the extreme heat towards the end of the festival, both the set-up and take-down ran smoothly and without incident, which is no small achievement in those conditions.

We were delighted once again with the feedback we received from customers and other festival workers and proud to earn top marks from the festival hygiene team. Achieving that standard, using temporary facilities built in a field, is something the whole team can be justly proud of. All of this makes the long days and sore feet worthwhile, even before thinking about the funds raised for the club.

As ever, the real highlight was the people. It was great to see new faces settling in so quickly and working alongside more experienced hands, learning the ropes and keeping everything running. Every single person made a valuable contribution, and the stand would not happen without that collective effort.

A huge thank you to everyone who gave up their time, energy and sleep to make this year’s Glastonbury food stand another success. It was a brilliant week, a fantastic team effort and a reminder of what the club can achieve together, both in and out of the water.

We hope you enjoy a few photos from the week below, and we look forward to doing it all again next time.
