Club divers recently headed to Cardiff to assist with the Surf Lifesaving Championships, helping to position manikins for the competition. It’s a weekend that’s both fun and challenging, demanding focus, stamina, and good teamwork.
Throughout the event, divers rotated in and out of the water, ensuring the manikins were correctly placed and ready for each race. The work requires precision and timing, as well as the ability to adapt to changing conditions in the water.
Despite the long hours and physically demanding nature of the task, the weekend is always an enjoyable one. It’s a chance for club members to put their diving skills to practical use, support an important event, and work alongside other teams in a lively, competitive environment.
The experience is also a great way to build team spirit, with everyone contributing to the smooth running of the championships. By the end of the weekend, divers can look back on a job well done and the satisfaction of helping ensure the event runs safely and successfully.
