Who’s who

Wave Shape

Street Divers has several committee members you will come across when you first join us. To help you recognise who is contacting you and what they each do, here is a short introduction to the main roles.

Diving Officer

The Diving Officer looks after all diving and training activities within the branch. They make sure that BSAC safe diving practices are followed at all times and that dives are planned and run safely. You may hear from them about dive trips, safety briefings or any changes to diving procedures.

2026 – Andrew Open and Suzanne Easton

Try-Dive Officer

The Try-Dive Officer is often the first person you will have contact with. They organise try-dives for people who are new to the club and are happy to answer questions about learning to dive with us, equipment, timescales and what to expect as a beginner.

2026 – Ron Morgan

Membership Secretary

The Membership Secretary looks after all membership administration. They will contact you about joining forms, BSAC and club fees, and annual renewals, and make sure your records are kept up to date. If you change your contact details, this is the person to let know.

2026 – Mark Tucker

Training Officer

The Training Officer oversees all training within the branch. They coordinate lessons, pool sessions and open water training, arrange skill updates and make sure your training progresses smoothly. If you have questions about your next training step or refresher sessions, they are the person to speak to.

2026 – Richard Garbutt
